Stickers on white goods?

When we buy a white good their is usually stickers on it. When I try and peel the stickers off part of the glue sticks to the appliance so I was wondering how can I get the sticker and glue off properly.

If the glue is the problem to remove, white spirits will get it off, without a doubt. As a matter of fact white spirits will get penmarks off fabrics and velours, grease marks off materials and all sorts of stuff like that. Give it a go, I used to use it in the car detailing industry for years and it is definitely the best for all that stuff. Smells a little though but that goes away. Good luck.

Easier way than either of the two above....

Warm the glue/sticker up with a hair-drier on a hot setting for a while, slowly peel the stickers off while still blowing hot air at it to soften the next bit of glue...

Works on all sorts of stickers including motorcycle decals (provided they haven't been lacquered over)

Eucalyptus oil is the best for removing the glue.

Peel as much of the sticker off as possible and then using a disk cloth or chucks soak the glue/sticker with eucalyptus oil.

The glue will soften and you will be able to rub it off. Then clean with normal household cleaner.

Rubbing alcohol works great on sticky residues, but be careful it doesn't ruin the underlying material (I'm not sure what "white stuff" is).  Most plastics and glass handle the alcohol fine.  My daughter, unbeknownst to me at the time, covered her window in the car with stickers.  I used a razor blade tool and rubbing alcohol - it cleaned up the job perfectly.
