Question:

Stihl FS 44 won't start after replacing primer bulb. Nothing seems to be out of place. Doesn't seem to fire.

Fuel was everywhere. I even pulled crank with it in off position for a while to try to correct apparent flooding problem. Seems to be a firing issue.

  1. If it was running and all you did was replace the bulb try pouring a thimbleful of mixed gas directly in the carburator and trying to start it. Of course do not spill any on yourself and have the tank well away from where you are starting the unit. No immediate need to put on the air filter for this operation just to get it started.
