I've had this saw for a few years, don't use it except for fall firewood cutting. Used to start just like the manual says. Last year, the fuel line was cracked, so the dealer replaced it and rebuilt the carb. 6 months later, it wouldn't start up again after going through 1 tank of fuel. Took it back and they changed the plug and the filer cap - said it started fine. I took it home, drained it and today, it won't start. Pulled the plug after I flooded it, blew it out and checked everything. I'm getting spark at the plug, but it wouldn't start. I got out the meter and found that no matter what position the switch was in, there was continuity between both sides of the switch, not just OFF. Pulled the green/yellow lead and found the switch was good out (no continuity at RUNN/Cold or Warm Start positions, just at OFF, when contact was made). Pulled the starter cover and found continuity between the black and green yellow leads. Pulled the black wire fro the coil connection and found continuity between the (black) coil connector and the frame of the coil where the green/yellow leads bolted to it. Pulled the coil (so it wasn't grounded) and found the same thing. Is my coil bad?
