Still CANNOT solve a Rubik's cube. Need help!?

Question

I bought a Rubik's cube a month ago. Using the directions from the packet they give you, I managed to do the first step (getting a single color on one face). However, everytime I attempt to do the "cross" it messes the face up.

So please suggest some great websites with tutorials for complete beginners or help me solve my current problem.

Take off the stickers and put them in the right place or just take it apart and put them in the right place it makes you think less.

Try YouTube, there are many video tutorials that will show you how to solve it step-by-step and also teach you logorithms ( which are series of repeating steps) to solve the cube. Most of them are easy to follow, good luck.
