I posted a question about my foot on here a few days ago. I took the answerers advice and got it checked out by my GP. Frist he said it could be gout, but then said not possible as I am a slim 29 year old woman. Then he said he didnt have a clue, but gave me some anti inflamatory drugs. The drugs have made me really sick and my foot, 3 days later is still really sore. So much so that I cannot put any pressure on it. It is between my big toe and second toe and right down the bone. Could I have broken it?

  1. Agree with the previous comment - go back to your doctor, or ask to see a different doctor for another opinion.

  2. Anti-inflammatory drugs need to be taken on a full stomach, or they will cause stomach problems ie sickness and possible bleeding. You need to report bck to your doctor or make an appointment with a Chiropodist.

  3. I think it's possible to have broken a bone in your foot, there are lots of small bones there, and it can be hard to tell from the outside, but if that's the case, there is little you can do to help it other than to let it heal. I broke my toe once and they couldn't do anything for that either, it hurt really bad at first but it went away.

I'm no expert so If that's not the case I'm sorry. :(

  4. Go back and ask your GP if he will refer you for an x-ray.

  5. You need to go back to your GP and request an xray.  It could be a stress fracture - have you been doing any new activities recently?  Its unlikely due to the position but it could also be a Morton's Neuroma which would be diagnosed with ultrasound machine.
