Still haven't received my Economic Stimulus check. What's going on?

I do qualify for an economic stimulus check...See Below:

1. Made over $3,000

2. Filed on time (February 2008)

3. Received tax return in March 2008.

4. I am NOT a dependent on anyone's taxes.

5. I DO have 1 exemption on my taxes.

I received a letter saying I would get a check, but have not received the second letter saying how much and when. Going by the schedule on the IRS website, it says it should have mailed out by May 23rd. (My last two SSN numbers are 12). Today is June 16th, and I still have not received it. When I go to the "Where's My Stimulus Payment" it says "We are sorry. Specific information about your Stimulus Payment is not available." What's going on? Is there a number I can call and talk to someone?

  1. go to your nearest irs office a file a petition

  2. Call 1-800-829-0582, extension 726.

By the way, what was the source of your income. Wages?

  3. Could it be possible that you may have owed back child support or have some other sort of federal wage garnishment?  If so, call this number just to check and see if it has been offset for some reason or another.  It's a shot to rule it out anyway.

    1 800 304 3107

  4. "We are sorry. Specific information about your Stimulus Payment is not available."   means it hasnt been processed yet.

  5. If you have any questions about your payment, please call the toll-free Rebate Hotline at 1-866-234-2942.

    Good luck! :)

  6. From the info in your question, it does sound like you should have your stimulus check for $300 by now. Call the IRS and ask.  They didn't change the distribution by the last 2 digits, so something has gone wrong with yours.

  7. check your last digits on social security number. then look online , they are distibutating in the last 4 digits
