            Did you not received your passport?.

Where did you applied the passport(Agent/passport office)?. You haven't specified your country name.

   I think, you may be applied in India. Thats why you didn't get any information.

You applied for your passport in the month of September last year. Passports are normally delivered in three months after police verification and your passport is in delay if police verification is over.

You can always check on line status of your passport by visiting this site www.passport.nic.in

Select your regional passport office fill in your file number and other details and you will get the status report immediately.

You don't say what country you live in, but I do not know of any country where you can get a passport in only 8 days unless it is a real emergency.  Did you ask how long it would take when you applied?  In the U.S. the passport service says it takes 4 weeks, but the passports often arrive in less time.  if you tell us what country you applied in someone may be able to help you better.
