I've been married for 18 months and we have never used any form of birth control and we are still not pregnant. I'm afraid to see a gyno. My husband says it can be normal and to be patient but I'm getting worried. I'm only 21 and he is 24 no health problems at all or so we think. Please help.

  1. Your probably stressing yourself out by thinking about it so much.  Do to the stress, your not getting pregnant.  Your both very young and have lots of time for children.  Enjoy one another and I"m sure someday you'll be pregnant.  If your actually wanting to get pregnant right now then relax!  If things don't change you can talk to your doc.  Good luck!

  2. There is a very small window each month for getting pregnant.  If your cycle is irregular, that throws things off even more.  Check out the site below.  It has lots of helpful information.  I know it's easier said that done, but try not to stress.  It doesn't help when it comes to trying to get pregnant.

    Best wishes to you.

  3. It took me 7 years of dating my now husband without protection before I got pregnant by him. So don't sweat it. When the time is right you'll get pregnant. You could be a women who ovulates very little and you have to figure out when that time is. Now a days they have tests you can take at home to find out which days you are ovulating. If you are really wanting to get pregnant try one of those. Then talk to your Doctor if that doesn't help.

    Best of luck

  4. i would recommend you seen your gynocologist...just to have him/her tell you everything is ok.  you may be anxious about not getting pregnant, and just the knowledge that you are all right could result in an eventual pregnancy.  and if by some chance there is a problem, the doctor can treat you.  it's better to know what's going on than to be in the dark, as you seem to be now.  see your doctor...and good luck!

  5. I know this may be a sensitive question, but are you very over weight or very underweight? Both can affect your body's normal cycle. You may have your period, but it is possible that you are not releasing an egg each time before you menstruate. Also it is possible that there could be a chemical imbalance within your uterus and v****a, or perhaps his sperm count is low and/or the sperm he is producing is less active than it should be. Sometimes, it just takes a long time. It too my mother 4 years with my brother and 2 with me. Don't get discouraged... keep trying! Also, don't forget to monitor your fertility. I believe your body temperature goes up just as you ovulate and stays elevated until your period. Try keeping up with that so you know when you're most fertile. Good luck!

  6. I believe in one month there are only 2 days you can get pregnant. If you have a regular period you can figure out what those two days are.
