Still searching for a good foundation.. help?

I really have tried so many foundations, MAC, Clinique, countless Mayebelline, Rimmel etc etc and all foundations make my face look so shiny! I have a cleanser, toner and moisturiser designed for oily skin which do work really well so I know this isn't the problem.

I have heard about bareminerals as it is supposed to be good but I'm looking for something I can buy in stores as I have never seen it in stores in the UK.

Does anyone have any good reccomendations of a good foundation for oily skin, that will give good coverage and isn't too expensive, I'd be willing to pay up to £20 if it was a good foundation as I would get the use from it. Thanks :)

  1. I too struggled to find a good foundation & finally settled on one of the Mayebelline ones which I use for work.

The best make-up I have though is a mineral powder which can also be mixed with your favourite moisturiser to make a foundation.  I use Sheer Cover Mineral Powder which I bought off one of the TV shopping channels & it is brilliant although a little expensive which is why I save it for best!

  2. Max Factor do a minerals range which is very similar to bare minerals, I use it it's lovely and light and you don't get any shine.

  3. How about instead of just using foundation because it makes your face looks "shiny" try using powder, (pressed or loose, over the top to reduce the shine, but still keep the colour underneath?)

    Hope this helps :D

  4. there is stuff just like bareaminerals that you can find and it works great.

  5. Check out the line Too Faced from Sephora. It's really the first foundation that I love. I have the pump kind.

  6. i got my maybelline mineral foundation from boots.

it really light but if you put enough on it can cover up blemishes.

its really good for covering up my uneven skin tone (:

  7. i use Dior 'Diorskin Forever' Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup SPF 25 and brought it for £23 from a big boots its very very good.

check out this link i found as others share the same view  http://www.makeuptalk.com/forums/f11/dio...

  8. you should really try bare minerals, beats all the other stuff. too bad you can't find any in the UK. Maybe you could try this website see if that helps http://www.bareminerals.co.uk/

  9. maybe since you've tried this many foundations and haven't been happy u need to consider the condition of ur skin cos by now u should have found something that you're happy with

fenwicks have started selling bareminerals but alot of large shopping centres have stalls and they sell similar brands which r just as good. i went the other day he tried a couple colours on me then gave me some bronzer for free

  10. i have a really good foundation because i often get spots and oily skin i use 2 different foundations together (but just lightly) :

First i apply loreal true match liquid foundation, next i use a powder loreal true match powder. together they compliment your skin and it is less shiny. :) goodluck
