Thanks for your tips Allmak, However re-threading just hasn't worked, so we've taken the casing off So far I have:1. Re-threaded the machine - no joy2. Taken the caseing off to ensure threading is correct - yesthreading correctly.3. Inserted a new needle as current one was slightly bent - The newneedle broke instantly3. Removed foot plate and dusted off all the lintThen I noticed:4. As you manually turn the dial - the needle is just clipping theround metal casing bit that catches the thread (shuttle?) I'mguessing this is going to be my problem??? It just touches the insiderim of this opposite the opening where it catches the thread.Could this be the timing that's off? Is it fixable at home - or is it a trip to the doctors???Thanks in advance for your helpLindsay
