has 41,396 entries for Kinsey. You might poke around there - try half a dozen searches  and see what you turn up.

If your grandfather Kinsey was a tell, red-headed sheep farmer from Australia who walked with a limp and had a scar on his leg from the time his spitfire crashed in 1942, I think my great aunt the red cross nurse knew him, in the Biblical sense.

The odds are extremely low that you will find them, simply by posting in yahoo (which many persons have never heard of.. much less use the genealogy area).  They might not even have a computer, for all you know.

If your grandparents were John and Jane Kinsey of Detroit.. you should have records of them that identify who their children were.  www.zabasearch.com or www.peoplefinder.com are both good sources for address/phone listings.

Also important to know is that it is more difficult to find live persons (who have privacy rights) than finding dead ancestry. And the further back your research goes, the odds increase to find others who might be researching.
