ok so i have applied for a job (im a radiographer and jobs are hard to get so im really hoping for this one)

the superintendent emailed me today and said that he had ''just returned from annual leave and his deputy is just about to go on leave. Recruitment also require 10 working days to formulate the interview packs so the interviews will take place in early September''

i need money now desperately but how can i apply for a job when i potentially may have one in september (im praying!!) also this is the job i would like so i want to wait for it rather than applying for something else????? arghh!

  1. why not just get a part time job in a coffee shop or something to get you by til then?

  2. You could try going to local recruitment agencies and asking about temporary work. They can sometimes offer you work for a week or two or maybe longer. Would not be great money, but better than none.

  3. Thats what recruitment agencies are for. Sign up and they can usually find you work for just 1 week or 2 weeks or a month or whatever. I work away in the US in the winter so when I come back to Edinburgh for the summer I usually go to a recruitment agent to get a job straight away whilst I look for some else. Good way of getting money as most of them pay weekly.

  4. I don't see the problem. You need money, which only another job can provide. If you get another job, and then this one gets back to you with an offer, then you have nothing to worry about, as you'll then have the job of your dreams. Your previous employer wouldn't have a choice but to accept your resignation - they can't take you to court or anything, even if you don't give any notice.

EDIT: Only way they can find out is if you tell them.

  5. Hi why not try something like party plan, you can start earning straight away and do it when it suits you, usually you only need to have about 1 party per month, and how many you have after that is up to you.
