My cat had 2 stillborn kittens at 6am this morning the first one that came out wasn't fully formed, and the second one was normal but just stillborn. I think there is atleast 2 more kittens inside her? And its been around 12 hours since she had the stillborn kittens?

Is there anything i can do? Because i can't take her to the vets until morning because they're not open on a sunday. Will she be okay until morning?

Please help...

  1. I would suggest finding (calling around) for a open emergency pet clinic in your area. Most are open at all hours. And some vets leave their emergency contact information with their costumers. I don't think she'll be able to wait until morning. That's very strenuous for a cat. She may be having some serious complications that need attended to now. Good luck.

  2. Ok, you spent your precious time on here asking for help..... why don't you take the cat to the emergency ASAP?!!!

And when shes done with the babies, get her fixed.

  3. hi

I am SO sorry. We had a stillborn on july 21st and the other 4 were premature and later died.

If she has more kittens they need to come out. I know it might cost a lot on a sunday but if you possibly can please do try to find a vet.

My vet wanted to see me when my second queen 1 week ago wetn 5 hours between babies.

they wont be alive (i doubt)

    they were probably premature

is she still having contractions or has labour stopped? they may be able to give her a shot to get the contractions going to deliver normally, otherwise it will be a c-section. unfortunatly if you do not have this done, your cat WILL die. please try. i am sorry.

If she has a c-section they can spay her too to save her having to go throguh that at a later date.

  4. the kittens may die

  5. I would suggest calling the vets office and seeing if they have an emergency contact number (or an answering service).  If they don't, then find an emergency clinic that is open.  You need to have your cat examined immediately, she could be hemorrhaging internally - and she may not make it until tomorrow.  This is an emergency situation.  Please also keep the stillborns in a plastic bag separately for the vet to examine. Pack them in ice (I used small ziploc bags for the stillborns, and then an old cooler I didn't use anymore to pack them in ice).  If you get in touch with the vet, ask him/her if they need the bodies, if not, then do what you want to do with them (such as burying them) - but at least you have them if the vet needs to examine them.  I wish you all the luck, and I hope you will consider spaying the mom after this so she won't have to deal with pregnancy again.
