when i filed this year my father had to claim me for college purposes. However, I still had to file because i made over a certain amount of money. He just recently received his stimulus check and it was only 600.00. Why didnt he recieve the extra 300?

  1. It could be because you are age 17 or older as of 12/31/2007.

    Or, it could be that he received $300 for himself and $300 for you, if you are age 16 or younger.


  2. The "extra $300" is only for children under on 12/31/2007.  If that applies to you he should have gotten the rebate.

  3. Because you filed

    Or, maybe he didn't receive the maximum of 600 and he really did receive the 300 for you as a dependent.

    You need to check on www.irs.gov to be sure

  5. A parent only gets extra for kids under 17 as of the end of 2007.  You are probably older than that.
