Stimulus, does this confuse you too?

Probably not because its all been a hit and miss game anyways. but here is my quick story. So on the IRS site it says the check will be issued june 20th, then monday june 16th i get a letter saying i should get it by june 20th. My mom also gets a letter stating the same thing. But yet also that same day was a her check in the mail with it. When she went on the IRS site it said that hers will be issued the 13th so hers fell perfectly together. Mine is confusing is it not? both the site and letter contradict. Me imm expecting it monday the 23rd since as of today thursday june 19 i dont have it...Sad and would be very helpful.

What would you guys guess is going on? i understand its been a crapshoot but ideas?

The wording on the letter is poor - that's the date it will be MAILED BY not the date you will HAVE it by

Ok well my friends said she would get it the 22nd. She never got it. So they had to wait 2 weeks to call. So she called and they said she transposed a number on her return and so they are sending it back thru the mail for them to make the correction and return it before they will process it. With the IRS you will always feel pretty much in the dark. Another got the letter after receiving the check-go figure

yeah im with you, i got the notice letter on the 14th which was dated the 16th which was weird, the letter says expect your payment by the 20th which is b/s. i think the irs is playing mind games with its people. first they say they are a week ahead of schedule, now they say wait a week after its issue date. Its all pretty stupid to me, its not free money its money we already paid the IRS, and i paid well over 600 in tax liability. im expecting it no later than next week or i will have to hold an IRS agent hostage!!!

yes this confuses me as well. My dad and brother in laws last 2 numbers are exactly the same. Their "magic date" was May 30th. My dad recieved his check on May 24 and BIL on June 2nd. They both recieved their letters on May 29th. I just got my letter yesterday with the 20th as well so I am hoping that It will come by Monday. :) I'm trying not to gripe cause you know extra money is extra but dang they could make a little more sense. LOL. Good luck with yours as well.
