Stimulus Check???

is anyone still waiting for theirs? .. i havent even received a letter and at this point im wondering if i even qualify. my ss# ends in 81. i filed in May. and my parents did put me on their taxes as a dependant but i also filed mine and put myself as single. also i tried calling the irs to find out but there's an automated service and does not let me talk to a live person so i dont know what else to do. please help?

If your parents claimed you as a dependent, then you don't qualify for a stimulus check.  However, if in 2008 your parents do not claim you, then you can claim the stimulus rebate check on your 2008 tax return.

you know that since you were claimed then you don't qualify. so get away from the mailbox.

If you are a dependent, then you do NOT qualify.  You would have found that out a long time ago if you had looked at the stimulus info at irs.gov or used the stimulus calculator.

Your parents claimed you and you are over 17 therefore they willnot get any money for you or you want either. This is what the rule the irs is going by.
