  1. What are the last 2 of your SSN?  The mailing dates are determined by the last 2 digits of your SSN.  Here is the mailing schedule:

    PAPER CHECK

Last two SSN digits:  Payments will be mailed no later than (and received a few days after):

    00 through 09  May 16

    10 through 18  May 23

    19 through 25

      May 30

    26 through 38  June 6

    39 through 51  June 13

    52 through 63  June 20

    64 through 75  June 27

    76 through 87  July 4

    88 through 99  July 11

If you filed a joint return, the last 2 digits of the first person listed on the return will be used to determine the mailing date.  If you filed really close to or after April 15, your return may still be processing which delays your stimulus payment.  The "where's my payment" message will not be updated with your information until the week your payment is sent.  The mailing dates listed are Friday dates and everyone I've talked to has actually received the check in the mail the following day (Saturday).

  2. I FILLED ON 4/11/08 AND SENT IRS A CHECK FOR MY PAYMENT,CHOSE DIRECT DEPOSIT.MY PAYMENT DUE WAS CASHED BY IRS,4/5 DAYS LATER.MY LAST SS#ARE 40.

  3. You can call the IRS at 1-800-829-0582, extension 726, to see if there are any issues preventing the issuance of the check.

  4. When did you file? If you efiled very close to 4/15, or mailed your return after mid-March, it's likely that you missed the cutoff for your return being processed by 4/15 so missed this first round - if so, you'll get your check in late July or in August.

If your ss# ends in 64 or higher, it's just not due yet.  Checks for people with ss# ending in 52-63 should have been mailed by yesterday

  5. I'm still waiting to and getting the same message. We filed 4/14/08 married filing joint and our last 2 digits of SS # fell into the 6/13/08 batch being sent out. Well here in Arizona, nothing in the mail yet? (Also, we were unable to file our taxes electronically, had to do them thru the mail but we are getting a refund for sure, definitely do not owe anything) So ?maybe because we did a 'paper return' thats why it is taking so long?? I dont know?
