Will my check be reduced if My husband and I had an income of 115,000. We have 3 children and supported my sister last year who was awaiting ssi. I am guessing a 2100 return but is that correct?

  1. It's based on your AGI, adjusted gross income, after deductions like mortgage interest, etc, this article has the limits listed, http://www.monitorbankrates.com/when-wil... you can also check on irs.gov

  2. Unless your joint AGI was over $150,000 it won't be reduced if you filed a joint return.  If he filed as married filing separately, it will be reduced.

$2100 is very likely the amount assuming that you filed a joint return, your net income tax for the year was at least $1200, and all 3 kids are under age 17.  Go to http://www.irs.gov/app/espc/ to verify the amount you'll get.  You'll need some numbers from your tax return, so have your copy handy

  3. Go to this website and check:

    http://www.irs.gov/

  4. From what I can figure out, I agree that you should be getting $2100.
