If I owe the government 76.00 and haven't paid it, will they just deduct it from my stimulus payment, or will I not get one??!?!

  1. I cant tell you much other then I think there is a flaw in the system.... We have friends and one still owes on his daughters loans from college and hes not getting one and if he did they would take it.... another one of our friends had to pay in on taxes this yr and couldnt afford it all at once and he was told he would not get one as they were taking it....  I dont know what to tell you.... seems to me if this is a stimulus checks  check... taxes shouldnt be involved but  I am not an authority on it... best to talk to or call  someone who knows... GOOD LUCK


  2. they will take out what you owe them and send you the remaining balance don't worry you'll still get a check it happened to me, and when you recieve your second letter it will have it detailed about what you owed and what will be your balance

    However, if you filed on time and your rebate would be $300, you won't get entire $224 back.  You will owe any penalties and interest that accrue to your account until the rebate is applied.
