Stipulations on Terminating paren'ts right in the state of Texas?

What if we just recently went to court and the father decided to terminate rights. Would my son still be able to get child support. Some people say yes my attorney says NO. These people that say yes have family members whose children's fathers have terminated their rights and they still get child support. Anyone now of any of these circumstances.

NO that is the reason he terminated his rights as a parent is so he would NOT have to pay child support.. Your attorney is correct
