I decided to buy a general Stir Fry sauce today instead of a Teriyaki sauce. What is the difference? Which is better?

  1. I never heard of a "General Stir Fry Sauce" before, must be new, it must be a sauce you can stir fry most foods with.

"Teriyaki Sauce" is used to marinate Chicken ( or other meat, seafoods included seafoods are meat from the sea), then BBQ them on sticks, you can also stir fry the marinated Teriyaki Chicken and use them as a filling in your sushi.

  2. Teriyaki sauce tends to be sweeter. What are you using it for? That would determine which is better for the dish you are making.

Teriyaki is better for grilling while stir fry sauce is better for stir fry. They both can be used as a marinade.
