Stirrup leathers...?

I just purchased a Butet and I wanted to know what leathers would match the saddle and don't stretch! I had stubben leathers that stretched out like crazy and I really don't want that to happen again! Thanks!

  1. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person that happened to with their Stubben leathers!  I have an old Siegfried which I've had for nearly 40 years now and in the early 90's I replaced my Crosby leathers for Stubben's and was sooooo proud...They not only stretched but separated so I had to reglue them...Grrrr  Crosby's worked a lot better than their saddles do!

  2. I've had great luck with the synthetic leathers as well. I like them because they don't stretch and are stronger than leather. I'm not familiar with a Butet, so I don't know if they will match your saddle, but they do come in black and brown. I don't think I paid $100 for mine, but more like $60.

  3. HEY! I have had great success with these synthetic stirrup leathers on my stubben dressage saddle. The stirrup leathers are not stubben how ever they are just synthetic. They look just like leather stirrups fittings and come in all colors to match up. They are great! I give them a 10 but if you are looking at the ones I am talking about be prepared to pay about $100  .... worth it though >:))
