Question:

Stitches? (non-dissolvable)

I got stitches on Tuesday where my wisdom teeth were taken out. I asked for the dissolvable ones, but they used regular, so I have to get them out on Wednesday. Will it hurt? I've never had stitches for anything before so I'm not sure what to expect when they take them out. Plus... 2 of them on the right side of my mouth are hanging so I'm sure those ones will be easy enough. Thanks for all your answers in advance!

  1. Getting stitches out is nothing. It doesn't hurt a bit. You shouldn't  even feel a thing. All my prayers for a speedy recovery!

  2. I have had stitches removed twice from my chin  (yes I did crack open my chin twice) when I was really little. The first time I got my stitches removed I was all squirmy and winey lol. but the second time I went I was calm and just layed there and I didn't feel a thing. so you should be fine. good luck!

  3. No pain-they just snip the string and pull it out-it kinda tickles!

  4. I have had them in my tongue and in that same area. It didn't hurt TOO badly, If it hurt at all.  It's been so long ago, but I cannot remember them hurting very much.
