Stock market question, who sells the stocks?

Ok, when you for example buy 100 stocks of "x" company, who do you buy them to? To the company or to a 3rd person seller? And when you sell 100 stocks, who are you selling to those 100 stocks? And finally, let's suppose that one day you want to buy 100 stocks of a company, but that day nobody (3rd parties) sells their stocks of that company... can you still get 100 stocks, like directly from the company?

Thanks for your response.
