Stockbroker or Doctor?

Hi i am wondering whether to be a doctor or a stockbroker/hedge fund manager. Which will earn more if in the long run? I think i am fairly intelligent and if all goes well inshaalah then i hoep to got to oxbridge of an ivy league uni. so i hope to do well in the jobs. thanku

  1. It depends on your personality.

    A fund manager's job is more stressfull, and consequently, more remunerative. Do you like a life of stress? If yes, then go for it.

    If not, then take the easy way.

    I chose the stressfull way as I did not want a dull life.

    I assume when you say Doctor, you mean physican.....

    I say Doctor. Because you can make lots of money AND help people who are ill.

    The nasty world of investments is a very highly competitive industry where your Ivy League education will not matter without quantifable results.

I think you should take a look at yourself and decide what you would enjoy the most.  Is helping people stay well more important to you than helping people make money?  There are wealthy people in both professions.  I would guess that a hedge fund manager (should you ever be fortunate enough to land one of these jobs) will be the most lucrative.
