  1. I'd agree with the writer above: 10 days sounds like a lot. You could see some other places in Sweden, too, or take a ferry over to Helsinki, Finland and spend a couple of days there. You'd even have time to check out Tallinn, Estonia.

  2. I would go on a boat trip to Finland and stay there for a day as well. The Swedish archipelago is the largest in the world and on a sunny day going by boat through all the small islands is really beautiful. One of the best scenery's in the world. If you don't want to go all the way to the Finnish mainland, there are trips to the island Aland in between Sweden and Finland. You are allowed to do some duty free shopping here as well as the island is exempt from the mainland laws.

Although I do think you can find enough activities to spend 10 days in Stockholm I think Sweden has so much more to often than just what's in the capital. How about looking at other areas as well?

In Stockholm make sure to stroll through the old town, watch the changing of guards, go to the amusement park, see the Vasa museum, do a bit of shopping of course... In July you may be lucky to find there's a festival in town.

  3. I agree- 10 days might be too much. I suggest taking an overnight cruise boat (I used Viking Line) to Helsinki, and spending a day there as well. Tallinn is ok, but not as interesting as either of the other cities.

Gamla Stan (Old Town) is a necessity, but that is a one-day outing. The Vasamuseet (Vasa Museum) is really interesting. It is a resurfaced ship that sank in the 1600's.

There are also boats that take you along the archipelago, which is absolutely gorgeous!

One thing I did not have time to do was the Stockholm Ghost Walk. It looked interesting, just not enough time!

Have a great trip! (oh, and you have to try pyttipanna! It's delicious!)
