  1. You can work from 13, you need a permit from the local authority, this would be for paper rounds or milk rounds. Some jobs are not legal, like working in a bar or in a factory.

People might employ you for daily cash, but it will not be legal or safe, you woud have no protection from accidents or hazards.

Some answers here are just plain wrong!!

  2. No company would hire someone that young, maybe you could mow grass, wash cars or walk dogs or something?

Don't you have to be 13 to use YA?

  3. Can't you get a paper round when you're 13?  I'm sure its legal then.

  4. First, you are too young to work legally.

Secondly, your time would be better spent learning how to write English correctly.

Your request, correctly written would read:

"Hey! I am 12 years old, looking for a job and I will be 13 in October. Are there are jobs such as cleaning up in a cafe or something similar? Say twice a weekend? Please help me."

  5. You will need to learn spelling and grammar if you want a job. What is a "sumit"?  You need to see the doctor if you have one.

Fiona..I think we should start a spelling and grammar police force on here......because it is important despite all the thumbs down....as an employer, I would never employ anyone who has not got a basic (and it is basic) understanding of our own language.

Please use the "check spelling" button if you are not sure

    Thank you

Maz...rather than a job, try and get a good understanding of the language you speak....ENGLISH...despite what you think its so important...you will never get a good job unless you can write in a way that people can understand you...text speak is NOT English

  6. Typical 13 year old jobs would be delivering newspapers or babysitting, but they're not well paid.

In fact, delivering newspapers is pretty much exploitation- if you've ever tried it, you'll realise you get a pittance.

Babysitting is probably an easier option, but it depends on how confident you are looking after children, and if you know anyone that needs a babysitter.

Most cafés/ shops won't employ you- there are very very strict laws about the sorts of jobs under 16s can do, and you can only work within certain hours. It isn't worth it to the café, who could employ someone over 18 just as easily.

Do you have any family or friends of the family who need extra help? For example, cleaning jobs? Assisting them with manual jobs?

  7. You can't legally work in the UK until you are 15!

Times have changed - I started whan I was 13, I admire your work ethic!
