can anyone explain to me what stocks are and how they work?

am i allowed to invest in one as a 15 year old and how?

  1. a share of stock represents an ownership interest in a company.  the stock will increase/decrease in value as the company does.

    you can buy stock at any age through a broker (Scottrade, E-Trade, etc.).

  3. First - What? gave you bad information, in the United States you must be 18 to open a brokerage account.  But one of you parents can open a custodian account for you
