Stocks. ??? I need a little help in making money,

Question

i have some money that i would like to invest to see that money double.I have some where between 400 to 600 dollars. i have been reading alot about investing and even brought a few stocks in company.. I want to see my money grow.

Pick the best stock broker, one with low fees.., it took me some time to see that most of my gains were lost to the fees i paid to actually buy stock and sell it, i suggest zecco, they are the ONLY ones who offer free stock trades.

My best advice is to be patient.  You are probably not going to make millions as soon as you'd like, but you're definitely on the right track.

Start out investing in an exchange traded fund, or ETF.  While these do not give as much return as stocks would, they are not as risky and would allow a fresh investor such as you to get a feel before jumping in.

When you do make the plunge, research.  Ask a friend or a fellow coworker about stocks they may think are doing well, though it's not always a good thing to listen.  Be sure to diversify your portfolio, meaning buy some stocks in the tech sector, banking, raw materials, energy, etc.

Stock market is a place where people come and go every day. To stay here an make money you need some charecteristics. Commiittment to the market, Involvement and knowledge. You have to take spilit second decisions and you have to be on your toes all the time. Knowledge will bail you out in those situations. Committment to the market is because unless you are committed you would go somewhere else at the first negative news. It is a place where people make money from begative news too. Involvement is because you have to know where the index is moving and how you can benefit from the movement.
