Stocktons Wing vying to win Kila Handicap
The Charles O’Brien-trained bay gelding, Stocktons Wing, is looking to complete his hat-trick by winning his first ever race at Leopardstown on Thursday, July 5. The Kila Handicap over 1 mile is scheduled to start at 8:00 (GMT).
In the €6,900 event, the three-year-old young and momentous horse will compete against 9 worthy rivals. For the first time in his career, he is going to run on a good to soft track, therefore, he will take a little time to settle after the break call.
The talented son of Jeremy, out of mare Jumilla, marvellously finished first in each of his last two starts. On June 3, 2012, he notched up top spot in the Listowel Whit Weekend Handicap over 1 mile while being the joint favourite runner with, Dark Danger.
The John McManus-owned skilled sprinter moved ahead to seal the title of the WWW.Navangolfclub.IE Handicap over 1 mile on June 15. This time, he was the 7-4 favourite.
