    ======================================...

    0.02224 mol of the metal oxide, M2O3 has twice as many moles of "M" = 0.04448 moles of "M"

    Molar mass of "M":

    2.00 grams / 0.0448 moles = 44.96 grams per mole

    that happens to be the Molar mass of #21 Sc

    your answer is: Scandium
