Stoke City midfielder Matthew Etherington has expressed his desire to win the FA Cup after his side thrashed Bolton Wanderers 5-0 in the semi-final at Wembley.

second half completed the riot.
Etherington suffered a heartbreak when playing for West Ham United as his side lost the FA Cup final against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 five years ago on penalties. The 29-year-old has vowed to make the most of his opportunity this time around as Stoke City face Manchester
City in the FA Cup final on 14 May, 2011.
He said, “I said to myself after that day that if I get a chance to come back again then I'll take it with both hands.”
Furthermore, Etherington has urged his side to improve their position in the English Premier League. At present Stoke are placed 13th in the Premier League standings after accumulating 38 points from 32 matches. They are just five points above
the relegation zone and their future in the League is not secured yet.
The 29-year-old said, “We'll look forward to that game and we've got the league to take care of now and get a few points on the board and that'll be us safe and then we can look forward to the FA Cup final.”
Traditionally, Stoke City are known to be good with only long-ball on the football pitch. However, in the semi-final against Bolton, the Potters displayed fantastic all-round football skills. The former West Ham player added that the victory is a massive
step in silencing the critics who believe that Stoke lack the attacking flair in their game.
The midfielder admitted that Stoke are the underdogs in the final against the Citizens. Nevertheless, he remains positive that they can win the FA Cup.
“We're used to being the underdogs, the manager said that before the game, and we'll be the underdogs in the final, so bring it on,” added Etherington.
