Stoke City took on Manchester City at home in the Premier League, as they looked to try and pick up some points against the reigning Premier League champions.
The match kicked off with City coming close, but with their initial effort sailing just wide of the mark.
Then in the 13th minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Crouch-c29741 went on to score for Stoke, as he gave the home side a one goal to nil win.
The towering striker danced his way towards the goal, and then slid an effort into the back of the net past http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699.
City then looked to respond after that goal, but following a great effort from Balotelli in the 21s minute, they were still trailing their opponents.
However, in the 34th minute Javi Garcia went on to score for City and gave the visitors some home of claiming points from the game.
Tevez went on to curl a free kick into the box and Javi Garcia nodded the ball into the back of the net.
The goal came off as a result of poor marking, but City weren’t complaining.
Following a first half that saw both the teams score, the second half proved to be a much more boring affair.
There were hardly any chances, but despite both the teams best efforts, it seemed like neither side would be able to score.
City broke ahead in the 62nd minute, but the keeper went on to make a brilliant save to keep his side in the game.
Nasri then went on to come awfully close to scoring a late winner, as he sent a shot in from twenty five yards out. His shot was parried by the keeper, with Stoke barely staying in the game.
Then in stoppage time, Silva curled in a corner, which was barely kept out by the keeper, who had to use the post to help him keep his side in the game.
However, despite City’s best efforts, they failed to find the back of the net again, and eventually had to settle on sharing points with their opponents.
