Walters made an astonishing 54 appearances in all competitions and scored 11 goals this season for Stoke City. However, with the European Championships coming up, fatigue could be a problem for the forward as he looks to help the Republic of Ireland make
it to the next round.

He dismissed talks of being too tired and said he believed he would be able to participate for his country in the European tournament.
Walters said in an interview:
“Yeah I feel great. Obviously it's pushing on to 60 games now for the season. But I played less than 45 minutes the other day and 45 minutes today.
The adrenaline is kicking in now and I just want the tournament to get started.”
The 28-year-old revealed he had been playing regularly and felt great, he believed he would remain fit during the tournament. Walters revealed he was looking forward to the European Championships to finally start, so he could determine just how much of a
role he could play for his side.

He revealed:
“The manager said last night the first time he came here was in 1958 with Milan and it brought him luck so hopefully it'll bring us luck going into the tournament.
We've been locked away quite a bit but you've just got to deal with it. It's a lovely place.”
Walters made his debut for the Republic of Ireland under-21 international team against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Norway-c2974.
He has made five appearances in total and has scored one goal.
