Stolen Car, small town, stupid kids, wallet gone.. what to do...?

So I went home for the weekend to see my parents and younger sister. While the fam and kids were i the backyard, one of my dad's prized SAABs was stolen... along with his wallet with $400 cash, and the spare keys. Yes, yes, I know... stupid to leave them in there. But the past is the past, he learned from the mistake.

So the car went missing Saturday around 8pm, and was found last night as the two idiot kids were driving it at 1am, while flashing their brights at other cars and smoking about an ounce of the green stuff.

They got pulled over, ran, and ditched the manual car, as it went up onto somebodys front lawn and wrecked into a small tree. The boys were small, and had moved the seat all the way up. It was nearby my old highschool, with about only 1,200 students.

My dads wallet carrying every card he owns along with some shared accounts with my mom has yet to be found.

Anybody have any experience with this, and finding a wallet or finding the perps ????

  1. It is very simple because I have seen it done before and it works...

Put an ad in the paper along with flyer's around the local town and offer a reward for the information and arrest of these kids...

You will be surprised at how many kids start to talk and after the arrest then you pay the reward that you will get back after you sue their parents................

  2. So Obviously the first thing to be done is cancel Every card that could have possibly been in his wallet, and alerting the card compinies of the situation and have them report any attempt of use to the proper authorities. you may get lucky and the kids try to use one and are caught on camera. Besides that placeing a reward add in the local paper could work, or if you have a younger cousin, brother, anything like that in the school just have them keep there eyes and ears open for details.

  3. Well, my stolen stuff never did come back to me...
