Question:

Stomach ache from Chinese Buffet?

by  |  earlier

I and my friends were at a Chinese buffet today, and I ate a variety of Chinese food. Much of the food was new to my stomach and about 4 hours later I feel like puking heavily. I didn't over-eat. The place looked a little dirty but that may have been just me.

What would be the best thing to do?

I'm 14, btw.

This is never happened before.

DOCTORS office is closed :(

  1. Have you had enough water to drink today??? Could just be that you are a little dehydrated mate. Without enough water in your system your body will have a terrible time digesting food, transporting nutrients, breathing, lubricating your joints etc...... drink a few glasses of water and see if that helps u.

If not, put a teaspoon or two of baking soda into a glass of warm water, stir it up and drink up... be prepared to do a loud belch and your tummy ache should resolve itself within the half hour - hour....  don't use the baking soda remedy if you have high blood pressure as it has an awful lot of processed salt in it.

The baking soda will realkalise the contents of your tummy and give you  relief from the horrible nauseous feeling.... have two glasses full if you need to.

If it's not dehydration then something has disagreed with you in the food you ate... be that MSG, unsanitary cooking practices, or some other chemical ingredient they use to "preserve" our foods......  MSG actually is renowned for producing nausea, migraines, mood changes, sleeplessness, abdominal discomfort and cramping, asthma and hyperactivity.

  2. Urgent cares stay open.

Food could have been bad or the food just doesn't agree with your stomach.

Drink lots of water and rest if you don't go to the doctors.

  3. It could be an allergy to the mono-sodium glutamate (MSG).

Flash your self with plenty of lukewarm water and take some BiCarb soda.

  4. yay! people didnt blame china for this... yet...

  5. your stomach may not be used to the seasoning used. I experience the same thing when I shock my stomach with something new. There are a lot of seasoning products, especially the hot red pepper condiment.Did you try the sake, hot? that helps me.My mistake, you are only 14.It could be your young stomach wasn't prepared for the change.

  6. Try pepto bismol and tell your parents
