Question:

Stomach and Lower Back Pain?

by  |  earlier

I've always had stomach and lower back pain at the same time.

It's not menstrual related.

Any ideas as to why or how it will go away faster?

  1. Stomach pain can often cause back pain.  Stomach and back pain can be so many things that you really should see your doctor while you're experiencing the pain so that he/she can find out the cause.  I had severe abdominal pain and thought I had an ovarian cyst but it was appendicitis.  Better you let the doctor determine what's going on.

  2. Someone mentioned kidney stones, I'll give you a similar answer but say gallstones. When I had gallbladder attacks the pain went from under my ribs all through me to my back, I'll assume kidney stones are just as bad and I hope you don't have either of those problems... depending on severity I'd go find a doctor and mention my symptoms and have them check me out.

  3. If the pain that you are feeling is extremely sore and feels like period cramp around your stomach (except more intense) then i suggest that you contact your doctor as it may be kidney stones. I have a kidney stone and before i was diagnosed my symptoms were intense pain in my lower side, period like pains, nausea (due to the pain) and tiredness.

You may also have a kidney infection which may be causing the pain.

I suggest drinking plenty of fluid for the time being, when you become mildly uncomfortable a hot water bottle will definitely help.
