So my stomach has been killing me for the past few days and I was wondering if it might be my appendix. It feels like menstrual cramps except way worse. its worse right when i wake up in the morning, so bad i can't even stand up straight. and (for lack of a better term) I've had diaharrea since tuesdayish. and I can't really eat much.

any idea what it could be?

  1. It could be a stomach ulcer if your pain is in the upper abdomen and you notice it coincides with any foods that you eat. Or it can be a bowel condition like IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), UC (ulcerative colitis), crohn's etc, etc.

It could be an ovarian cyst causing you lower abdominal pain.  A cyst can cause a hormonal imbalance which in turn can cause diarrhea and stomach upsets.

It could be your appendix. However, the pain would be in the lower right side and would not disappear later in the day but remain more constant. (I suspect this is not the issue).

**FYI: I had issues with ovarian cysts causing my hormones to completely get out of sorts. I then had a severe case of IBS because of my hormones and couldn't eat much without getting sick.  My IBS only flares up now when I have hormonal issues.

Definitely see a doctor to get to the root of the issue. Sometimes putting it off only makes it worse.  Good luck!

  2. first off unless you are a nun in  a convent you can't rule out pregnancy which could be the problem if you suffer from etopic pregnancy... frankly you don't give enough detail for anyone to give you a very good guess.... the term stomach is meaningless... one would need to know if it is a localized pain or general... is it in the center or to one side... if one side then which side... does it hurt high or low on the stomach(near your waist or closer to your rib cage... does the pain hurt in your back or seem more in your front.... how old are you... are you sexually active... do you have a medical history that includes any problems... what is your race (some races suffer certain problems more often than others)... what do you eat are your vegetarian... those are just the basics you left out... starting to get the picture... a doctor needs a full list of answer to even begin to make a guess, especially when it is just based on someones text

OKAY... based on your additional detail... we can rule out gallstones you aren't old enough... you are describing a location close to the appendix so that is a possibility... the question then becomes whether you have a fever or if that area is sensitive to the touch... if so then you need to see a doctor sooner than later because it could be your appendix and if it ruptures you would be in a world of hurt with death a possibility.

It could also be related to your ovaries...I'm not a obgyn so I have no idea about the probabilities of any condition over another... you can pretty much rule out ulcers since that is the wrong place for that type of pain....

Frankly if you have a fever then I suggest you go see your doctor... some tests need to be performed to rule out certain things and zero in on the problem.  If you have any type of fever then a doctor visit need to happen quickly.

  3. ok i don't think you have appendicitis because i had something EXACTLY like that 5 days ago.  i went to the doctor and she pressed on my stomach and everything and i said it hurt a little but not to bad.  i also had diarrhea and i threw up only the first days of it.  i could barely hold down crackers and juice.  yuck.  in the morning it was so bad i would yell in pain.  the doctor said it was a horrible stomach flu.  i'm guessing that's what you have.  i would go to the doctor just in case.  it can be serious if the appendix bursts or if it has anything to do with other organs.  hope you find out what's wrong!

  4. a baby growing inside of you

  5. You need to get it checked out because if your appendix was to burst you could die. But look into stomach ulcers too.
