Hey guys. this may be a bit graphic, but im scared and need some help.

I'm 17 and In may(ish) i was told I had ibs. I go back and forth between diarrhea and constipation quite a bit.

This past week has been stressful. we drove from southern ontatio to new york to take my brother to college. My brother and I are very close, so the distance caused some anxiety. I didnt eat very well in New York. we got back on thursday, then had to go out on friday. Then when we got home on friday I felt very sick.

sometimes I get this feeling like im cold and have goosebumps, but I sweat a bit, then have very bad diarrhea. The thing that worried me is that it was yellowish/greenish.

should I be worried by this?

Also, I have been constipated since and have tried just about everything.

please help

  1. Mabe its something in the air?

  2. I think your bodey was not use to the Food in new york so it should adjust soon also could be something about your emotions

  3. I also have IBS and I know exactly what you're talking about.  When I get stressed, my stomach seems to get worse.  You definately need to add some fiber to your diet.  I don't drink metamucil everyday, but I do tend to lean toward foods that are high in fiber.  IBS is something that you can learn to live with, it's not fun, but you WILL be able to get it under control.

    Good Luck!

  4. I was diagnosed with IBS and I had to drink Metamucil everyday. It works!!!! Try to keep your stress down, its hard but I did it. Oh and with the Metamucil, get the Orange and the name brand kind. I drank 1 glass every morning. The cheap stuff has big granules in it, yuck!!

  5. if this just started you might just have eaten something you dont know your allergic to.

goodness, but dont listen to me because honestly i ahve NO idea

  6. take some fibercon and miralax and quit worrying so much about your c**p.

  7. I also have IBS. The best thing you can do is increase your fiber. The drinks are nasty. Eat fiber enriched cereal every day. Also avoid fatty foods, lots of caffeine and artificial sweeteners. Another thing you can try is yogurt, it works the best for me. I also have colitis on top of the IBS, so I no what you are talking about. The color is fine, unless it turns dark black or has blood in it don't worry about it. Good Luck!
