What i can't under stand is the following sentence,

Of those stopped, 16 percent were black and 8 percent were Asian. Relative to the general population that meant black people were seven times more likely to be stopped than whites, and Asians twice as likely.

What colour was the other 76% people stopped? surely if they were white it would mean relative to the population that whites are more likely to be pulled.

Do you know of any other colour?

  1. Well unless they are stopping little green men then you are right

  2. sometimes I go orange when i go ott with the St Tropez

  3. 'Relative to the general population' ....but when you consider the percentage of black victims it is much higher than those stopped....as is the percentage of black perpetrators....means very little really...

  4. It does sound very racist. I've no idea why black people would be stopped more frequently. I thought racism towards black people was a thing of the past.

  5. Don't understand what you mean by colour:

    When I born, I black

When I grow up, I black

When I go in Sun, I black

    When I scared, I black

    When I sick, I black

And when I die, I still black

    And you white fellow

    When you born, you pink

When you grow up, you white

When you go in sun, you red

    When you cold, you blue

    When you scared, you yellow

    When you sick, you green

And when you die, you gray

    And you calling me colored??

  6. Think you have a really good point Agent Zero- we are bombarded with statistics everyday about a whole range of different issues and do people look at them and decided for themselves how much weight to give to them..NO ..the majority believe what is spewed out in the so called news..it's good to see someone questioning their validity in a wider spectrum

  7. Black people commit 90% of the knife crime in London.

So you do the math on who you think should be stopped and searched more often.

  8. Very good point...and considering it IS blacks doing most of the stabbing and knifing it goes without saying they should be the prime target of the police.

  9. Sorry, but your maths is incorrect.

16% were black, but much less than 16% of the population is black.

I read that you are 7 times more likely to be stopped and searched if you are black than white.
