I have a couple of scenarios, before my driving test this afternoon.

1. If you are going to turn right at an all way stop sign, and a pedestrians is crossing on your right, and he is going forward, do you have to wait that he is fully finished crossing or half way?

I know when he is walking toward your car you must wait till he reaches the end.

2. If anoher car has the right of way, but a pedestrian is crossing infront of them, do you then have the right of way?

  1. Good questions.

    1. Go ahead with your turn as soon as the pedestrian has cleared in front of you . One would still have to be wary of stragglers who may want to cross, but once the crosswalk is clear in front of you, proceed slowly.

    2. If you think that you have time to make your turn while other traffic is holding for a ped, go ahead and make your turn . It is a judgment call . Once you are within an intersection, either making a turn or going straight, you have the right-of-way.

    All the best.

  2. 1. for safety reasons I would wait till the person has completely crossed.

    2. yes you would but again I would wait for safety reasons.

You never assume anything while driving and waiting only shows that you do understand the rules and safety of the roads..
