Charlie, my 3 year old TB, has been having some issues again. We had her on the trails and to the point where she could almost lead but today, she took off on me. She almost ran into the road and she ended up throwing me into a pile of rocks and dragging me atleast 2 feet. Thank god, she just side stepped then stopped. We will not be taking her on the trail till she is 5. My question is, I need some advice. What exercises should I be doing with her to help her learn when I say stop, she needs to stop or atleast slow down. I'm getting professional training from a Dressage champion who has been offered to the olympics and trains stallions but I need some help that I don't want to ask her. What should I do?
Charlie is a fast horse, she ponies pretty well but she's skittish, she is a TB. I don't want to get rid of her, she's very special to me. VERY special. I need to get her threw this.
Problems:
Won't stop when she runs
Bucks when scared
Dramatically over reacts to fear
Won't move
