Question:

Stopped by Police?

I did not see PCSO directing traffic as she was stood behind a lorry! I was stopped and asked questions about my car insurance for 20 minutes. Is this reasonable? The PO did not even give me his name.

  1. Did you ask for their name?

    You can get proof of being stopped if you ask (like a reciept) but then you would probably be asked for a seven day wonder (producer)

  2. Yes this is perfectly reasonable. You should have been aware of something going on. I'm sure she wasn't standing behind a lorry specifically to get you into trouble. Did you get a producer or did you have your documents? After a few years despatch riding I learnt to carry my documents with me. Maybe you should do the same.

  3. dont worry he just did it to save himself from having to run after a real criminal, when a police officer eats to many doughnuts it takes time for them to digest enough for them to be able to barley move, so the easy option is to stop motorist by simply raising a hand, and have a chat with you for 20 minites whilst they go down, you probably noticed he belched a few times to whilst he was talking to you, this to is a part of the digestive system working and is not to be taken as an insult

  4. well no its not, your insurance now should be on computer, so it should only take a few moments to confirm.

    maybe your not the main policy holder

  5. Forget about it - they have

  6. Yeah, think yourself lucky they didnt get you on some trumped up charge too.

  7. my dear;

    law is laws and it will be and stay law for ever...........

    law doesn't protect forgetting or busters ok? so be careful next time...

    just imagine if the law excuse all people who are like you ( who forgett or overlook or ...stc...)law will lose his task and as a result many crimes will be commited under the so_called**forgetting or buster*** clear?!!!

       what happened with you that time was not something bad for you but rather it might be a roocket booster for your next security ok?

    good luck !!! and be careful next time

  8. That sounds about right. I was stopped for speeding once. The funny thing about that was, I was on my bicycle going down a hill at the time!! I notice they didn't stop the cars passing me though.

  9. Somehow I don't think the PCSO was hiding behind the lorry.  Nor does it take 20 minutes to ask you about your insurance - unless you're being an obstructive git . . .
