I am using Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 and Messenger 2008.

When Windows starts up Messenger also opens the log in pane...which is a pain. Can someone tell me how to stop messenger from opening automatically. Cheers

  3. Let it open then go to the properties then you can change all of those settings.

  4. remove it from the startup folder under "Start| All Programs"

  5. open msn then click on the options part..which is found by clicking on your status part (the bit where you can change to online, away etc) then i bar thing will open and down the bottom theres options.

Click that then in the new screen that opens click general (its on the side of the screen) then read through list and uncheck the right box
