i think i definitely have a sweating problem. with any shirts with sleeves at all, i always end up with sweat stains! it's really gross and gets me super self' conscious. i'm not overweight or have any health problems. i sweat not only when i'm nervous or hot, but when i'm just sitting there too. it can be freezing and i still sweat. i've tried a bunch of deodorants, even secret clinical strength. should i see a doctor? i'm 15 + a girl btw.

  1. if going to a doctor is too troublesome, try exercising more daily. your sweat glands would then be controlled more.. not sure about this though.. just my cheeky brain :p

  2. Sometimes, the complex mechanism of perspiration goes awry, resulting in excessive perspiration (hyperhidrosis) which is what is happening to you.

A common complaint is that you can get nervous because you sweat, then sweat more because you are nervous. Other factors can play a role; certain foods & drinks, nicotine, caffeine, and smells can trigger a response.

Check out the site below: foods to avoid, clothing to wear, etc.

If the sweating con't & doesn't resolve, when you get older you can get acupuncture or have surgery.

    Hope this helps. :)

  3. Yes, you could see a doctor just to see if you actually have a problem or disease that's causing you to sweat. He can probably provide some meds for you to stop it. But if you can't, i would just try covering it up as best as you can. Try even putting tisssues under your arms and change them every hour or so. Also bring some perfume with you so that you can spray yourself if you think you smell. Hope this helped.

  4. I have the same problems, its annoying, honestly see a doctor, they can possibly give you super strength stuff from a prescription. I havent worked up the nerves to do that yet, but give it a try.
