Store bought cuccumbers?

I bought some at the store cuccumbers to make bread and butter pickles,and then read that you shouldnt use store bought ones cause the salt wont penitrate the wax? can I wash them, or because they are cut so thin,will this matter at all?

I would wash the wax off with soap and water before you do anything. Like you said, bread and butter pickles are sliced so thin, you shouldn't have a problem. It would be different maybe, if you were making whole dill pickles. My mother has made B&B pickles for years, and we could never tell the difference between the garden ones and the store ones.
