they usually have little bottles and jars

Old Time Pottery is a great shop for that.  They have a ton of different styles on the cheap.

You can try Specialy Bottle online also.

I know someone who uses mason jars for that purpose.  Its really kind of cool.

Beauty supply stores, like Sally's Beauty Supply always sell small jars.  Drug stores also usually have empty jars in the area where they sell the travel-sized shampoo and toothpaste and stuff.
