Question:

Storing Documents on Home Network

We have a cable modem at home. I added a simple off-the-shelf Linksys wireless router, so now our desktop, two laptops and printer all work wirelessly.

However, we keep finding ourselves wanting a certain document we saved on another computer. I know we can back up with thumb drives and our portable hard drive, but on a daily basis that's a lot of hassle.

Is there a way to save documents on the network itself so no matter what computer I'm at, as long as it's connected to the home network, I can access it? This was possible at some office networks, but I don't know if it is possible at home, and if so, how I'd do it.
