Storing baby food with Avent VIA system

Question

If I put hot, home made baby food in an avent via tub and close the lid, will it create a vacuum and seal closed so that I can store the food for a bit longer?

Actually, I think the opposite would happen- the steam from the heat would probably force the lid off.

You shouldn't put a lid on any hot food. You ned to let it cool first. You can freeze the food to make it last longer.
