  1. Eek! I really hope you didn't use the above advice.

NEVER store contacts in water. It is not clean, and you could get a nasty eye infection.

If you really have nothing to put your contacts in, even leaving them in a case with no fluid is better than water. You would get solution right away the next day, and just couldn't wear the contacts until the day after. Don't do this often though.

I recommend always buying another bottle of solution when your previous bottle is getting low.

  2. You should listen to the optometrist! I wear contacts for more than 15 years now and have tried both water as well as sleeping with them when i didn't had any solution with me and water is BAD NEWS!! It hurts even more and your eyes take about 15 minutes before "adjusting" to the lenses after being in water. I would rather sleep with it than putting it in water.

Well don't feel alone....I've been there 2. When I'm in a pinch I just used plain tap h20. Now my sister says that it's bad 4 them. But I have 2wker's also & it's better than sleeping in them. Seltzer h20 will work as well but ya gotta make sure to throughly rinse them in the am w/tap h20 or else the residual matter will burn your eyes so badly that you'll wanna rub ur eyes outta their sockets. BOL :)
